The Calculus Project aims to increase the number of students who complete AP Calculus AB before high school graduation.

Completing AP Calculus in high school creates additional post-secondary options and opportunities for students in a variety of fields of study and career paths. The Calculus Project utilizes Acceleration front-loading strategies to teach key mathematics concepts to students during the summer before their enrollment in an honors math course in the fall and then continues to offer Acceleration lessons throughout the year. Beginning in middle school with rising 7th Graders who enroll in the mathematics summer enrichment course for 7th Grade Accelerated Math and complete AP Calculus AB their 12th grade year, the Calculus Project strengthens the relationships of the three groups of stakeholders vital to closing the achievement gap in mathematics: students, parents, and teachers.
