What can you and your student expect with Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSO’s) for the 2023-24 school year through the following school options?

Face-To-Face

  • Opportunity for CTSO (ex. Skills USA) chapter membership
  • Support for OCPS school health & safety policies and procedures in all CTSO events and activities
  • May participate in approved CTSO activities, events, etc. (both face-to-face and virtual/online) on the local, district, state and national CTSO organization levels, including but not limited to officer leadership positions, committees, competitive teams, leadership conferences, etc.

Innovative (LaunchEd@Home)

  • Opportunity for CTSO (ex. Skills USA) chapter membership
  • Attend virtual/online CTSO chapter meetings, events and activities
  • May participate in the virtual CTSO events, activities, etc. on the local, district, state and national levels
  • OCPS school health and safety policies and procedures will be adhered to in all face-to-face events and activities once participation in those activities becomes available

OCVS

  • Opportunity for CTSO (ex. Skills USA) chapter membership is predicated on a student’s participation in a progression of appropriate career and technical education courses and/or the student is offered chapter membership approved by a local school administrator and CTSO advisor
  • If membership is approved for 2020-21, students must enroll in the appropriate district approved career and technical education program of study for subsequent school years to continue membership
  • Student must have been a CTSO member for the prior year (2019-20)
  • Student may attend virtual CTSO events, meetings and activities
